Positive Reviews

Well-located for Manchester and Peak District

Guests liked the way this hotel's location near M67 Junction 4 put them a short drive from both Manchester city centre and the Peak District National Park, a paradise for lovers of the great outdoors. With the A57 and A628 located nearby, road links at this hotel were good and motorists also welcomed the proximity of petrol stations and the ample free parking. Many reviewers said they could easily drive to area attractions, golf courses and sports venues.

Excellent customer service reported

The customer service won praise from reviewers, who described personnel as professional, helpful and pleasant; many guests said nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Cosy beds and clean rooms

Most guests enjoyed a good night's sleep and appreciated the Hypnos beds for being cosy and generously-sized. The rooms were reportedly well-cleaned, spacious and comfortable with powerful showers, making them fine for a shorter stay. As the room rates were usually reasonable, many reviewers said their stays represented decent value for money.

Negative Reviews

Some guests faced obstacles to sleep

The thermostat controls in the rooms were inadequate for suitably adjusting the temperature, according to some reviewers. Moreover, noise travelled relatively easily, which enabled some light sleepers to hear sounds from neighbouring rooms, stairs and corridors or the car park.

Facilities had some shortcomings

The lack of power sockets near the beds was an occasional nuisance for those travelling with multiple devices to charge. There were also several claims that the free Wi-Fi speeds were sluggish at times.

Mixed feelings about catering

Although many guests said the restaurant next door offered good service and served tasty meals and cooked breakfasts that were reasonably-priced, some critical diners claimed the food wasn't anything special or that the service was occasionally slow.
