Positive Reviews

Lovely staff

There have been some negative comments about management, but the rest of the staff that work here do their best to make everyone feel welcome. You'll always get a smile in the restaurant, and the people at the front desk are very helpful.

Good value for money

This hotel is certainly in the affordable price bracket with many guests feeling that it offers good value for money. You get a decent size room, free parking, and internet access thrown into the bargain. Not bad for this area.

Convenient location

This hotel has very easy access to the M1 and the A1 making it the ideal place to stop for a night if you're on a long journey. The airport is also just a thirty-minute taxi ride away so if you have an early morning flight you can easily make it from here.

Negative Reviews

Poorly managed restaurant

The restaurant seems to run with no system at all. Many guests' orders are mixed up and quite often the food arrives after a long wait and is too cold to eat. Sometimes they even run out of items on the menu long before the restaurant is due to close.

Not the best food on offer

There's not much on the menu at this place that escapes criticism from guests who find that the food is either tasteless or greasy. It's not a great start to the day to have breakfast served that is too cold or inedible.

Rooms barely acceptable

It seems that everything in the rooms at this hotel has been there since the place opened many years ago. There are broken springs in the mattresses, and there's mildew in the bathroom. But this all pales in comparison to the lack of a proper cleaning.
