Aegagros Caldera Houses is a beautiful cluster of 5 traditional free-standing villas and a private Cave House in a 5.000 square metre vineyard overlooking Santorini’s Caldera and Volcano and the phenomenally blue Aegean Sea. There are two 90m2 Villas, two 55m2 Villas, a 50m2 apartment and a Cave House built right on the caldera of Megalochori village.
The Villas used to be our family’s own houses where we used to enjoy the endless, sweet Greek summer. A true haven, they were designed to comfortably accommodate our big family, in an eclectic environment.
The residences have now been renovated to cater for the needs of Santorini visitors who seek a home away from home feel and to experience the subtler, but more telling characteristics of Santorini Island.
Aegagros Caldera Houses is located at 5.000m2 stand-alone estate, located at one of Santorini’s most beautiful spots: the outskirts of the picturesque village of Megalochori, at the south-eastern part of Santorini. True to the concept of Greek hospitality, “philoxenia” as narrated by Homer, we offer a kind of stay that evolves around everything heart-warming, generous, and in the pursuit of Good and Joyful.
The vineyard estate’s restaurant: At the estate one may find our vineyard terrace restaurant: Greek and local recipes, Mediterranean platters, fresh fish and greek tapas are all deliciously cooked and prepared by Aegagros reputed culinary team. Our vineyard terrace restaurant is amidst the vineyards of our ancestors in a completely relaxed and peaceful environment. Our guests get to combine delicious platters with a magnificent scenery taking in the sublime vistas of the volcano and Santorini’s famous sunset.
