About Riad El Farah

The Riad El Farah offers a great value base to explore the magical medina of Marrakech. Inside the city walls, the hotel is in walkable distance of all the town's main sites.

The whole of this old Moroccan house can be rented or just one of the four en-suite rooms – each with its own individual character. Two of the rooms open up directly onto the inner patio. All have air-conditioning.

The Riad El Farah is, like a typical Morrocan Riad, based around a charming patio and fountain. There is a sun-terrace and TV room too.

The hosts prepare traditional, authentic Morrocan cuisine to order within the Riad.

Jemaa El-Fna is just a five to ten minute walk away and the Royal Palace close by. The host doubles up as a guide and can show guests around the medina or take them on excursions to the Atlas Mountains.

Positive Reviews

Incredible host

The hosts in a riad quite often make or break your stay. Guests find that at the Riad El Farah they turn a great value break into an amazing, authentic experience. The host treats you like his own personal guests, friends or even family members. He makes you feel special and shows you around so you don't get lost. He'll even take you on excursions himself - around the medina or to the Atlas mountains.

Lovely food

The freshly prepared food at the riad goes down a treat with guests who choose to eat in. Beautifully cooked and flavoursome, guests adore the special tagines, washed down, of course, with some Moroccan wine!

Great value for money

Some guests can't get over the value for money that the riad offers. From the personal service, central location and airport transfers to the authenticity and tranquillity of the riad, you will have an unbeatable adventure for a very good price.

Negative Reviews

Confusing location

The riad is difficult to find to start with for a lot of guests and it is easy to get lot in the maze of streets and alleyways. However, once the host helps you find your bearings, you'll find your way around with more assurance.

Some noise

You are in the heart of a bustling medina, so you have to expect some everyday noise - from the call to prayers to locals talking on the streets and even stray cats! Some guests find though that the sound insulation isn't great which is not helped by the chatty nature of the host!

Cool in winter

Guests travelling in the winter months find the evenings can get a bit chilly. They would appreciate some heat in their rooms, or at the very least some extra duvets or blankets.
