Positive Reviews

Quick walk to Loughborough town centre

BY far the most mentioned positive aspect, guests love that it is just a quick 10-minute walk to the town centre, where they can find a bite to eat, do some shopping or post up at a friendly pub.

Rooms are a good size

While there is some disagreement, the overwhelming majority of guests who comment on room size are more than happy with theirs. The rooms are described as surprisingly large

Very varied breakfast

While the breakfast isn't included, several guests who opt for it sing its praises, saying it is quite varied, and not simply a standard English breakfast.

Negative Reviews

Some strange smells

A bit of an odd one this, but more than just one or two guests mention strange smells in their room. Sometime it is described as being like a smell from a drain, and sometimes the guest can't quite place the smell, but some rooms may be particularly prone to this.

Some rooms a bit noisy

While not a widespread complaint, a few guests did mention being disturbed at night by noise, mostly from within the building itself. It appears that some rooms are more prone to noise problems than others. A room right by the entrance hallway has been cited as being especially noisy.

Breakfast hours a bit restrictive

While this is not an unusual complaint at B&B's and the smaller guest houses, a number of guests mentioned that the breakfast hours were much too restrictive for their taste. Breakfast is between 7:00 to 8:30, but is not included in the room rate, so late risers might consider picking something up in town a bit later instead.
