About The Megaro Hotel

Megaro, set right opposite Kings Cross station, encapsulates the essence of British pop culture with its quirky decor and nonconformist style.

The hotel contains modern double and family rooms, as well as three Diesel Studios, designed to befit rock stars with iconic punk decorations and seating areas. Each is air-conditioned with media player, coffee machine and safe. There are also two self-catering apartments.

Megaro provides free high-speed Wi-Fi and snacks in the lobby area, as well as the largest mini bar in the world: Mini-Mix. There are also ten meeting/event rooms for hire, decorated in a typically eclectic style.

The hotel’s restaurant has an extensive breakfast menu and a selection of Italian-inspired dishes, including some grilled options. There is also an atmospheric piano bar to unwind in.

Saint Pancras’s Eurostar terminal is within a couple of hundred metres of the hotel. The British Library is about a five-minute walk away with the Sadler's Wells Theatre just over a mile away.

Positive Reviews

Funky and original place to stay

This quirkily-designed accommodation appeals to the imagination of guests, who love its unique vibe. Whilst they delight in the hotel’s laid-back atmosphere and original decorations, they are equally impressed by the quality of the furnishings and the immaculate presentation of the rooms. The beds are said to be extremely comfortable and the rooms are of a surprisingly decent size for London.

Refreshingly friendly staff

The youthful and helpful personnel delight the staying guests and enhance the hotel’s attractive ambience. The staff are incredibly personable, making guests feel important and cared for during their stay.

Convenient location for getting around London

Guests claim they couldn’t be much better situated for public transport, being directly opposite Kings Cross and Saint Pancras stations. The Eurostar terminal is just a short walk away, making the place an ideal stopover for travellers to the continent, whilst the underground entrances are just a few steps away. There are also plenty of places to eat locally, as well as attractions such as the British Library.

Negative Reviews

Street noise is inevitable

Being in such a central location and opposite Kings Cross and St Pancras’ stations means there is little escaping the buzz of traffic and people outside. This is particularly an issue in the street-facing rooms. For more peace, guests recommend requesting a back-facing room.

A bit pricey

Even accounting for London’s inflated prices, guests get the impression that the accommodation, food and drink rates at this hotel are a tad excessive.
