About The Somerset

The Somerset hotel is set within close proximity to the beachfront, in one of the most iconic parts of Llanduno.

There are a number of room types available including the premier rooms situated on floors one and two, as well as twin bedded and double rooms on every floor. Many of the rooms are sea facing and boast magnificent views of the bay. All rooms are en-suite and additional facilities such as cots and high chairs can be requested.

The hotel houses an excellent conference facility wihich can seat up to 45 people. The hotel sports a game room with darts and pool table to keep children entertained. The establishment is also pet friendly and well behaved pets are welcomed at an additional fee.

The Somerset hotel boasts and impressive onsite restaurant serving sumptuous meals prepared by a team of resident chefs.

The famous Victorian pier ,Great Orme ,  "Little Orme" and Penrhynside are reachable within a short walk. Conwy and Snowdonia National Park are also close by.

Beachfront location is everything.

The Hotel is situated only a few steps away from the beach. Guest are able to take leisurely walks on the pier whenever they wish, and can even be accompanied by well behaved pets on leashes. Many of the rooms also boast magnificent uninterrupted views of

A family run establishment with excellent staff.

The establishment is personally run by the Paddock family. They ensure that each guest is warmly welcomed and comfortable throughout their stay. The hotel staff are also very friendly and helpful, competence is key at The Somerset Hotel.

Excellent meals, especially breakfast.

The hotel has a team of chefs preparing all the meals served in the restaurant. Guests have raved about the breakfasts being especially tasty and a great way to start a day or exploring or relaxing.

Negative Reviews

Very dated décor can be off-putting.

The hotel’s interior, in terms of the furniture and design is extremely dated. This can be off-putting to guests who prefer a more modern aesthetic, especially so amoungst younger patrons.

Nightmarish mattresses.

The mattresses are extremely uncomfortable as there are very soft and providing no support for a good night’s rest. The ill quality of the beds could once again fall under the umbrella of dated fixtures which need to be replaced at soonest!

Great breakfast, as for the other meals….

Although the hotel’s breakfast seems to be quite popular amoungst patrons, the other meals are less so. Lunch and dinner are not included in the price and are charged additionally. These meals can be rather expensive especially when taking the portion siz
