Positive Reviews

Nothing is too much trouble for the hotel

The friendly hotel employees will go out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay at Iris They all go about their work in a cheerful way and the restaurant staff are attentive, while not being at all overbearing.

Breakfast gets the day off to a cracking start

The breakfast is delicious, quick and plentiful and the waiting staff will ease you into your day with the friendly manner The full English option will certainly fill you up.

It’s worth requesting a room with a view

Some of the guestrooms at the hotel have exceptional panoramic sea views, so you should request one when making your booking This might be slightly more expensive than a room without a view, but is totally worth the added cost.

Negative Reviews

You can’t get online from the comfort of your room

There is no Wi-Fi in the guestrooms, so if you want to look anything up or just relax while surfing the web, you’ll need to head down to the reception or sit in the public lounge This seems a little anachronistic in the 21st Century.

That might not actually be a double bed

If you book a double room, don’t be surprised if, when you get into bed at night, you discover that your double bed is actually two singles pushed together it’s a classic and much used hotel shortcut, but not an especially comfortable one.

The bathroom facilities don’t quite measure up

The towels provided in the bathrooms are a little too small to be considered bath towels Also, the distribution of toiletries is a little on the stingy side, so bring your own or prepare to have to ration the ones that you are given.
