Positive Reviews

Scenic Location

The spectacular countryside views, kid-friendly family farm and dense wildlife are the biggest draws to this location.

Mouthwatering Home-Cooked Meals

The breakfast is a favourite, complete with free range eggs and sausage/bacon from the hotel's own farm pigs.

Simple, No Frills Fun

A casual country environment with warm log fires and fantastic free entertainment some evenings. Your kids can help the farmers feed the animals while you linger over your morning coffee a bit longer. Walk or bike through the trails and enjoy the fresh air and guinea fowl strolling the grounds Lots of fun for the no frills types here!

Adorable Hobbit Houses

Stay in one of the site's unique Hobbit Houses if you enjoy cabin accommodations No bedding is provided in most of these units and no heat in some Ask for clarity to avoid booking the wrong style for your travel needs.

Negative Reviews

Refurbishment Underway

Although refurbishment is definitely underway, it is taking place gradually over time Older areas, although charming, may not be up to some travellers' tastes.

Limited Wi-Fi

Due to the geographical seclusion of the location, Wi-Fi connection may be somewhat limited at times.

Road Is Paved With Potholes

The road taken to the hotel is a rough one to navigate, especially if travelling during nighttime hours. Watch for potholes & both farm and wild animals to cross your path and be careful not to miss the sign for turning to the hotel. If you do, you may need to call for help to get back on the right track.
