Positive Reviews

Great location for exploring the city.

If you are visiting Lichfield, the Cathedral will certainly be on your list of places to visit and it is only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. You can also reach the city centre on foot. Guests also appreciated the convenience of having lots of bistr

Friendly and attentive staff.

Many guests have praised the members of staff for their helpfulness and politeness. If it’s your first visit to the city, the staff will be more than happy to give you advice on what to see and do and also the best ways to get around town.

Delicious food, freshly prepared.

For a lot of guests, the food served at the hotel was one of the highlights of their stay. The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of fresh fruit and cooked dishes. Upon arrival you will also receive a complimentary glass of champagne.

Negative Reviews

Decor looking a bit dated.

Some guests have remarked that the interior of the hotel would benefit from modernisation. The furniture has been described as old fashioned and the beds as lumpy and uncomfortable.

Rooms can get hot and stuffy in the summer months.

As there are no air conditioning units in the rooms, some guests have found the heat a bit of a problem especially in the summer. Opening the windows and asking the staff for fans are some of the ways guests have managed to get around this issue.

Level of noise too intrusive.

Guests who have stayed in rooms that are situated above the bar have complained that they were unable to get a good night’s sleep due to loud noise. Some have also found the traffic noise too loud, especially when the windows are left open.
