Positive Reviews

Good location.

The Pears Road Guesthouse is situated near to the centre of the town and so you can easily walk to the town centre. There are a variety of restaurants and supermarkets within easy walking distance. The location is convenient for business and leisure travellers.

Comfortable accommodation.

The guest rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. There is a mixture of antique and modern furniture and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms are set out in a way that is very functional with all the necessary amenities but nothing over the top. The decor is pleasant and lends to a relaxing stay.

Delicious breakfast.

The breakfast available at this guesthouse is delicious. You can choose between a delicious porridge or a full Irish breakfast. The food is delicious and well-prepared. There is also a selection of fresh fruit and fruit juices as well as preserves for your toast.

Negative Reviews

Staff often difficult to find.

Sometimes the guesthouse staff are difficult to find. Many guests have reported that they had to wait around for someone to greet them or when guests needed something they could not find any staff members to help them.

Inconvenient breakfast times.

The breakfast times at this guesthouse are quite rigid a short. Guests travelling for business purposes have reported that the breakfast starts too late and when an earlier breakfast is requested the staff seem reluctant and unwilling to accommodate them. Due to the breakfast hours being so short it can be very busy at breakfast time which lends to slower service and overrun staff members.

No issues reported.

So far, no recent negative opinion has been expressed by guests about this hotel.
