Positive Reviews

Very Good Staff, Check In and Location

Check in is quick and all the staff are friendly The location is good for visiting the city centre, and guests would be happy to use this hotel again, not too close to the hustle and bustle of the night life but close enough to walk there.

High Room Standards

The rooms are very spacious and clean, well lit, and fitted with excellent new beds. For the price it is hard to beat.

Good Food

The restaurant is excellent and the breakfasts are really good, with staff bringing freshly cooked bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and beans, and a selection of fruit and cereals. The breakfast is good value for money and has a variety of hot and cold food. There is an attractive bar area.

Negative Reviews

Poor Infrastructure and Cleaning

The room fittings are poor, with a cracked window, and noise from outside the hotel is intrusive. Generally staff are good, just let down by a poor room. The TV is fixed to a unit and is small for the size of the room. The room is very stuffy with no fan in the bathroom. Guests reported that their room was dated and dark with dust everywhere and black marks on the wall paper; the shower was mouldy and the toilet smelled disgusting.

Limited Choice

The choice of cooked items at breakfast is a bit below average. The bacon had been allowed to dry out, and should have been replaced earlier.

Could Do With Further Training

Staff seemed unsure of their own procedures Guests was not given a breakfast voucher, but this problem was resolved. A female guest was checked into the wrong room, a man was already in her room! Overall, a budget hotel with service to match.
