Positive Reviews

Quiet despite being in a busy area.

Being right next to Leeds University means The Kingston is in a very popular and busy part of Leeds, but it doesn't feel like this in the hotel itself. The hotel is surprisingly quiet, mainly because it is set back off the main road, ensuring you won't ge

Some Free parking.

Parking is available in this part of Leeds as there is a pay multi-storey car park around five-minutes away, but The Kingston does provide limited free parking for guests, which is handy. Parking is on a first come, first served basis and can't be reserve

Decent location, including for local bus connections.

The location of The Kingston is one of its key selling points. It is great for Leeds University, as well as the First Direct Arena which is under a mile away. The route to the city centre can be walked in less than 15-minutes, or if that is too hard work

Negative Reviews

Many reviews suggest that the cooked breakfast could be better, in particular with regard to the lack of bacon on the plate. The breakfast does come with the cost of the booking, and it is worth bearing in mind there is also a continental option which mig

Dated decor.

The Kingston's decor is quite old-fashioned, with some former guests suggesting the hotel could do with freshening up. On the plus side though, the hotel is generally considered to be clean and inviting.

Wi-Fi is hit and miss.

Some guests report problems using the Wi-Fi, which appears to work only in some parts of the hotel and gets worse the busier the hotel gets.
