About Hillside Haven

Offering stunning views of Kenmare Bay, near Sneem, Hillside Haven is an ideal retreat for stopping over whilst exploring the jaw-dropping views of The Ring of Kerry.

This secluded B&B comprises of four en-suite bedrooms, one of which offers incredible sea-views. Double and triple rooms are available with kettles and flat-screen TVs.

Hillside Haven offers complimentary Wi-Fi and a shared lounge to relax in and chat with other guests. Free onsite parking is also provided.

A hearty Irish breakfast is served daily and barbecue facilities are available. Sneem, a 12 minute drive away offers a few traditional bars and cafes for eating out.

The quaint town of Kenmare is just over 20 minute's drive in the other direction, whilst Kilarney, overlooking the wonderful Lough Leane and bordering the Kilarney National Park, can be reached in just over an hour. Kerry Airport is 42 kilometres away.

Stunning views over Kenmare Bay

If you're planning on exploring the Ring of Kerry, you couldn't find a much nicer place to stay than this coastal location. You have sensational views over Kenmare Bay or the mountains behind - especially if you're lucky enough to get a room with a sea view. Guests find the place to be nice and quiet - an real haven of tranquility.

Copious breakfast

Guests love the delicious large Irish breakfast served up by the hosts each morning. It is very varied with lots to choose from - ideal to set you up for some sightseeing or trekking.

Cosy retreat

Everything, from the warm welcome from the friendly hosts to the comfort of the rooms, helps generate a feeling of well-being. Guests say the rooms are large and homely with very comfortable beds, whilst the owners will do all they can to help you and make you feel at home. They'll help you plan your days and go out of their way to help.

Negative Reviews

A bit isolated

Whilst being cut off from everything has its obvious attractions, there are drawbacks. Most notably, there's nothing nearby - shops or places to eat, and the nearest village of Sneem is still a fair distance away.

Cleanliness could be improved

Guests comment that the cleanliness of the rooms and linen could be better at times.

Cash only

If you're planning on paying by card, you will be out of luck here. Guests often have to go to Sneem to withdraw cash to pay with.
