Positive Reviews

A gourmet restaurant onsite

Dining here is more of an experience than a meal. The surroundings are lovely and many tables overlook beautiful scenery. The chef seems to have a passion for food and loves sharing that personally with guests. Even the daily breakfast is a delight.

Comfort in the rooms

The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed. Many rooms have direct access to the pool and others have balconies which promote peace and relaxation. While not really suited for kids and families, guests who want to quietly unwind will like this haven. Civilization isn't far away with the free Wi-Fi service offered.

Not a vanilla stay

The stay here is so different from a typical standard chain hotel. The village is small and quaint and the pool is set within a lovely garden space. The area is also quite close to a local bird sanctuary which is a real treat for birdwatchers. Also, a renowned golf course is close by.

Negative Reviews

Subpar linens

The ideal of a luxury stay is spoiled by the subpar linens. The towels, sheets, and bedclothes have holes and stains in them, making for an unpleasant tone.

Very expensive

For this rural area, the stay and food is quite expensive. The gourmet quality is met by gourmet prices. There are much cheaper choices nearby which can provide an experience just as nice.

Acquired tastes

The owners do roll out the red carpets for guests, but that comes with a price. They have a very high opinion of their food and seem to get offended by complaints. Their sense of humour will also take some getting used to.
