Positive Reviews

Unbeatable location for sights

Much of Krakow’s magic is in the historic centre of the city, which makes Hotel Wentzl an ideal base for sightseeing right from the middle of the action Enjoy people-watching in the square from your room, walk to ancient sites or even shop at the Cloth Hall market When you are satisfied, the hotel’s thick, solid walls ensure little to no noise disturbs the peace inside.

History within and without

The hotel itself as well as the restaurant opened by Jan Wentzl is filled with classical paintings by Polish and other European artists which are a priceless part of history.

Ancient charm with modern comforts

For those who enjoy being flung back a few hundred years but are not quite happy to discard the usual mod-cons, Hotel Wentzl is ideal Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and rooms are provided with Nespresso coffee machines.

Negative Reviews

Some creaks in the historic building

Although parts of the centuries’ old building have been restored in recent years, its age does show itself for example the creaking floorboards, some plumbing issues, etc Some may say however, that this adds to the experience!

Street noise when windows are open

The hotel walls do a good job of keeping noise out, however if you’re in a room facing the market square, you will hear the hourly bell, buskers and general noise from the outside This is particularly the case during weekends so you can keep windows closed most of the time and use the air-conditioning should it get too warm.

No bar or lounge

The Wentzl Restaurant is a huge bonus, however there is nowhere to sit and perhaps enjoy a nightcap or some conversation outside the room For this, you may need to venture out into the town where there is an abundance of bars and cafés.
