Positive Reviews

Comfortable, clean rooms.

Guest rooms at Knock House Hotel are quite modern and are kept in very good condition with experienced housekeeping staff ensuring that rooms are spotlessly clean and that consumable items such as tea and coffee are replenished regularly. Beds are comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms are also well looked after.

Wheelchair-friendly accommodation.

This hotel is quite well-known for its inclusion of guests with various mobility issues and keeps six specially designed, wheelchair friendly rooms that have been optimized for easy wheelchair access. The wheelchair friendly rooms are spacious and clean and still offer the same features.

Friendly, kind staff.

Hotel staff are friendly and approachable and will happily see to any special requests or additional needs that guests might have. Front desk staff are also kind enough to arrange a pick up or drop off service to Claremorris Station or see to any other special needs.

Negative Reviews

Limited room amenities.

While rooms are clean and very comfortable, they are a bit lacking in room amenities. Other than basic tea and coffee making facilities, rooms lack standard conveniences like hair dryers, room safes, ironing facilities as well as more modern conveniences like docking stations, which are fast becoming standard in modern hotels.

Poor Wi-Fi reception.

Wi-Fi reception is woefully inadequate and almost completely unavailable in guest rooms. The only decent Wi-Fi signal is in the conference facilities or reception area but this can be considered a bit inconvenient if one prefers to make use of Wi-Fi in the comfort of the rooms.

Limited free breakfast options.

The hotel offers a basic complimentary continental-style of breakfast which consists mainly of pastries, coffee and juice. Additional breakfast items such as bacon, eggs and sausages are charged for as extra items.
