Positive Reviews

A good value hotel

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. It is difficult to find fault with members of staff. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Whilst breakfast may be lacking in the variety desired by some guests, it is an economical and nutritious start to the day.

A great location

Some of Istanbul’s iconic attractions are within easy reach of the hotel. The Hagia Sophia Museum is less than a mile away and The Blue Mosque is even closer and can be reached in about ten minutes on foot. Guests feel that while public transport is nearby, it is not really needed as those who are reasonably fit have no problem in walking to these and other places of interest.

Negative Reviews

This hotel needs to pull itself together

The devil is in the details: turning their attention to towels and bed linen, guests feel that these items have had their day and should be replaced. Annoying too, guests say, is how curtains are too small and don’t pull together across the window space.

A cool response to room facilities

First off, guests are irritated by the absence of bottled drinking water in the room. This, after all, is a fairly standard feature in hotels these days. Visitors who stay in the winter feel that the rooms here are often too cold for comfort. Heating is poor and only switched on for very short periods. The hotel is not a disaster but it is a renovation project in the making.
