Positive Reviews

In the heart of Henley

Since it is right in the middle of Henley-on-Thames, Wetherspoon - The Catherine Wheel is perfectly located for a relaxing town stay, is perfect for the rowing regattas and is handy to beautiful walks through the countryside and along the Thames.

Pub fare in easy reach

There can not be much more handy than having a pub downstairs, and with the Wetherspoon pub and restaurant right there, good breakfasts and inexpensive pub fare are just a staircase away.

Good, all-round value stay

You will find that the rooms are well-sized, clean and comfortable, some with rustic exposed beams, and the receptionists and other staff members are professional and there for you.

Negative Reviews

Limited car parking

There is only very limited on-site parking at Wetherspoon - The Catherine Wheel, so make sure you book in advance to ensure a spot or talk with reservation staff to see what other options there are.

Small malfunctions no big issue

While a small number of people have experienced a few technical problems with the room and shower temperatures and other small malfunctions, these have not been major distractions from the stay and the staff has been friendly and helpful in dealing with these.

Can get noisy

While most guests have not found this to be an issue, there is the possibility for noise due to the pub and the bar next door However, some rooms in the hotel are designated as a quiet zone, so make sure to ask for one of these if you are not planning on going out in the weekend.

And the telly

A few people were left wishing they had a bigger TV in their room, so if your evening shows will be an important part of your stay then consider other lodgings.
