A great value for money hotel

Despite being a budget hotel, the ibis Gloucester has excellent amenities The rooms are simple, but clean, comfortable and well presented The bathrooms are lovely with nice hot showers The free Wi-Fi connection is good, there is free parting and the hotel is pet friendly It is also well located for visiting the city of Gloucester.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful

The staff are always polite and helpful and, most importantly, cheerful, no matter the time of day They try their very best to accommodate your needs, including specific room and food requests It makes a real difference when staff go to great lengths to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Good quality and choice of food

The lounge and dining areas are bright, clean and spacious The food is tasty and reasonably priced and there is good a choice of foods at the self-service breakfast buffet.

Noisy traffic from nearby road

Being so close to the dual carriageway means that traffic noise can be a problem at the ibis Gloucester, particularly if your room faces the road.

A basic hotel, lacking any real character

If your looking for character then this hotel is not for you As with many ibis hotels, it is quite basic and bland If you’re in the area for business, though, it’s an ideal option However, when you consider what you get for the price, it is really rather reasonable.

Housekeeping staff arrive early to clean rooms

It’s a common complaint at this hotel that the cleaning staff knock on the doors too early in the morning to clean the rooms, often waking you up in the process.
