Positive Reviews

Truly excellent hosts

It was pretty much impossible to find a guest review that did not praise the hosts here, Steve and Emma. It was implied they must have innkeeper blood coursing through their veins since they ran the guest house with such professionalism and care. They were said to really engage with guests and offer them what they needed for them to have a great stay. This often included practical local information and tips, which they were said to be only too happy to share.

Very beautiful interior

Going by the reviews, it's clear guests were very impressed with the interior of the guest house. They commented that it was every bit as lovely as the marketing shots on the Internet would suggest. The bathrooms came in for particular praise, with guests loving the big antique tubs. Guests also mentioned that the beauty was enhanced by the fact that everything was kept spotlessly clean at all times.

Excellent comprehensive breakfast

Guests were thrilled with the complimentary breakfast offered at this guest house. They said that it had more than enough variety to ensure everybody could find something they liked and enough quantity to make for a solid meal that provided a good start to the day. They also liked the outlook for the breakfast room, which was said to offer views over the tennis courts in the adjacent Kelvingrove Park.

Negative Reviews

Some rooms are noisy

Guests remarked that, because of their placement, some of the rooms were quite prone to internally generated noise. One room was said to be underneath the breakfast room, with the resulting heavy foot traffic in the mornings sometimes disturbing them. Another room was said to be right next to the entrance, with guests being disturbed every time another guest entered or left the building.
