About Mediterraneo Real

Mediterraneo Real is an aparthotel on the edge of Fuengirola, only two kilometres from the town centre but close to a number of reputable bars and restaurants. The hotel is a ten-minute walk from the beach.

All apartments at Mediterraneo Real are en-suite with satellite TV, air-conditioning, and a terrace area. Each apartment has an American-style kitchen area featuring a hob, microwave/oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, and assorted cooking utensils.

Guests have use of a communal pool area, with hammocks and parasols, as well as a jacuzzi and solarium. Free Wi-Fi is available, and private parking is available for a fee.

There is an on-site restaurant and bar where food is available throughout the day.

Mediterraneo Real is easily accessible by train from Malaga airport, being located very near to Los Boliches station. By car, the airport is a 20-minute drive away. Attractions in Fuengirola include the Bioparc zoo.

The apartments at Mediterraneo Real are consistently described as being spacious, with plenty of room for families to be not under each other’s feet. The additional space certainly makes many guests feel like they are having a more comfortable stay.

Next door to a large supermarket.

For those intent on using the kitchen facilities, Mediterraneo Real is right next door to a large, well-stocked supermarket so it is easy to stock up on any items you might need during your stay. This is reported to be especially helpful for families.

Air-conditioning a bonus.

It gets hot on the Costa del Sol during the summer, so it is a big help that air-conditioning comes as standard at this hotel for the comfort of guests. Furthermore, for those visiting out of season when the temperature is much cooler, Mediterraneo Real provides ample heating.

Negative Reviews

Poor Wi-Fi.

A number of reviews say that the Wi-Fi at Mediterraneo Real is not the best. Connectivity can be an issue, while there is also a restriction of only one device per room being able to have the free Wi-Fi which has caused dissatisfaction among some guests.

Not enough cooking equipment.

Generally speaking, guests are happy with the quality of the kitchen in the apartments. However, there are negative comments about the utensils available to guests, with some suggesting that there simply are not enough basic utensils available to make the best use of the facilities on offer.

No shallow area in the pool.

The pool area in general gets a thumbs up, though some guests have noted that the pool itself does not have a shallow area. This means that, to be completely safe, even young children who can swim need constant supervision as their feet cannot necessarily reach the bottom of the pool.
