Cheap, warm and toasty stay

You will find Àite Cruinnichidh to offer a warm respite from the fierce Scottish weather with a sauna, hot showers and a decent price for a good, basic stay.

Beautiful garden and surrounds

Many guests have appreciated the chance to disconnect from the world in this remote and beautiful part of the country, with plenty of good walks to take advantage of, as well as mountain biking and water sports.

Large, familiar facilities

With a big lounge and guest kitchen, clean facilities and the friendly and accommodating presence of the proprietors, who live on site, you will find the hostel to have a laid-back highland atmosphere.

Negative Reviews

No shops, too remote for some

The next shop is 2 miles away at Roy Bridge, so make sure you bring all of the food you need with you Be aware Àite Cruinnichidh is fairly removed from Fort William, so you will really be in the wilderness without many amenities nearby.

No Wi-Fi, signal, sockets

Without Wi-Fi, mobile phone access or many sockets to charge items in the rooms, some guests have felt a little lost, but others have embraced disconnecting from gadgets.

No locks on doors

With the owners living on site, the doors have no locks as a matter of trust, so if you have valuables you are particularly concerned about, keep them with you or perhaps out of sight in your car.
