Welcome to our holiday home on the beautiful ilha culatra which has been voted the best beach on the Algarve. Culatra is a traditional fishing island which is part of the Rio Formosa national park. The main attraction to the island is the stunning beaches and abundance of wildlife. There are no roads or cars on culatra which makes for a very relaxing holiday, The island has restaurants and bars which serve lovely traditional food at very reasonable prices. There are 3 small supermarkets that have a good selection of fresh produce along with everyday essentials. Fresh bread is normally ordered the day before. The island is accessible by passenger ferry which runs frequently from Olhao and takes approx 20 mins. Water taxis are always available. The house is on one level and has a terrace downstairs, a courtyard and roof terrace with view over the fio formosa and the mainland. Please note that an end of clean fee of €50 is payable directly to the cleaning lady on the island.
