Clean in all the right places

This hostel is very clean, and it surprises some guests to see such spotless shared bathrooms. There have been problems in the past but it seems now that the owners and staff have upped their game, and the entire place is now super clean.

Ideal location

You can walk to everywhere in the city from this place. It's so central and ideal for a sightseeing tour. The lookout and the harbour are just a few minutes away and if you arrive by train, you can easily walk to the hostel.

If you want city centre accommodation but don't want to pay steep hotel prices then this place is ideal. The rates are certainly affordable, and guests have said that it's great value for money. A clean place with a bed and Wi-Fi at this rate is a real find.

Not the most comfortable

The beds at this hostel are metal framed, and if you move an inch, the whole thing squeaks. This is certainly a problem if you are in a dorm room and especially if you are in a bunk. It's not ideal, and you may end up losing some sleep.
