Studios and one bedroom apartments are air-conditioned and feature kitchens equipped with microwaves, fridges, stovetops and dishwashers. Each apartment includes satellite TV, free Wi-Fi access and a furnished balcony or terrace.
The Adagio Prado Plage features a 24-hour front desk, heated outdoor swimming pool and paid parking.
Guests can enjoy breakfast delivered to the apartment, shop for food at the local markets or sample the numerous restaurants within an easy walk of the complex.
Just a stone’s throw from the beach, and an easy walk to the Vieux Port or Velodrome Stadium, the Adagio Aparthotel is a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Marseille and scenic Provence. Bus stops and the Rond-Point du Prado Metro station are nearby and the complex is 22 km from Marseille Airport.
For most guests, the location was the best thing about these apartments and they described the surrounding area as quiet and peaceful but convenient to the city centre. Many strolled down to the Vieux Port, took local buses to the beach or explored Marseille via the metro. Proximity to markets, shops and restaurants was another well-received feature.
An Acceptable Experience
The Aparthotel Adagio met the expectations of a number of guests who enjoyed the heated pool, the views from the balconies and the breakfasts delivered each morning. Others described the apartments as clean and comfortable, found the staff friendly and helpful and the price reasonable. This added up to an acceptable experience for some, while others summed up the apartments as ok for a short stay.
Parking can be a problem in Marseille and while the Aparthotel Adagio offers paid parking, guests appreciated the plentiful free parking available nearby.
Shabby & Run Down Exterior
Even guests who were otherwise satisfied with their experience described the exterior of this property as shabby, rundown and in need of attention. They noted faded paint, rusty balcony rails and an air of general neglect. For others, the inside wasn't much better. Guests reported peeling paint and musty smells throughout the building and some complained of pervasive cooking odours.
Poorly Equipped & Maintained
A number of guests were disappointed to find these self-catering apartments poorly equipped and maintained. Guests reported non-working appliances, defective electrical plugs and noisy air-conditioning units. Others complained about inadequate supplies of towels, bathroom toiletries and blankets.
