This old-school, two-story roadside hotel lies close to the center of town just a few minutes’ drive from Highway 89. Free breakfasts and a pool are Travelodge Page’s biggest draws.
Simple guest rooms with traditional decor feature mini-fridges and microwaves. Some accommodations afford views of the Colorado River.
Guests can cool off in the seasonal outdoor pool and take advantage of an on-site coin-operated laundry facility. Wi-Fi and parking are both offered free of charge. Pets are welcome (fees) when booked in advance.
A complimentary continental breakfast is served in a pleasant outdoor dining area overlooking Lake Powell. There are numerous restaurants, bars and fast-food outlets located within walking distance.
Travelodge Page is just over two miles from both Lake Powell and the impressive Glen Canyon Dam. The magnificent desert vistas of Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park are les than a 15-minutes drive away.
It has to be said that, for a motel-style offering, the accommodations here really are quite roomy. For sure, you can easily get a family of three of four in a double room at Travelodge Page without feeling overly cramped. Impressive.
Breakfast is a pleasant experience
Okay, so there might not be that much to choose from (cereal, fruit juices, fresh brewed coffee, hot oatmeal, bagels, pastries and fresh fruit) but what you do get you get plenty of, and it's free. Moreover, you get to eat it outside while you look out over some great views of Lake Powell. What's not to like?
Handy location is just about right
An easy walk to reach local shops and restaurants and a straightforward drive to see nearby attractions like Glen Canyon Dam and Horseshoe Bend ensures this hotel is likely to make a great base for whatever kind of stay you have in mind.
Entire property needs updating
It is an unfortunate fact that this hotel is long overdue a makeover, inside and out. The exterior looks like something from the 1950s while the accommodations are blighted with stained carpets, worn furnishings, and moldy bathrooms. Action needed.
Wi-Fi is a little intermittent
Sometimes it's fine and dandy while other times it's so temperamental it leaves you screaming at your device like a mad person. Be prepared!
Some employees need to work on their manners
Numerous guests have commented on the rather abrupt service they received from some of the customer-facing employees whilst staying here. Something for the hotel manager to take a look at perhaps..?
