This place is right by the entrance to Yellowstone which makes it the perfect base for exploring the park. The Grizzly center is just a stone’s throw away too and is an interesting place to spend a few hours. You’ll also find there are a few places to eat very close by.
positive:
Pure rustic heaven
This place is like a slice of country heaven for some guests that just can’t get enough of those log cabins. They feel that the place is very well laid out and that the cabins are beautiful no matter what the weather is doing outside.
positive:
A warm welcome
The staff here will greet you with a smile before walking you over to your cabin and checking that you are settled in. And they aren’t after tips; they are just genuinely nice people that like to help out their guests.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Internet room a bad idea
The internet room was probably a great idea back in the year 2000, but these days with everyone wanting Wi-Fi access it can be impossible to even get into the room. Guests feel that if a hotel can offer Wi-Fi in the rooms, then so too can this place.
negative:
Poor housekeeping let the side down
The cabins are rustic and quite homely, but they would be even better if they were cleaned properly in between guests. A few people have noticed that the bathrooms could have been much cleaner while they also found beds that were poorly made.
negative:
No breakfast
For those of you that have no trouble cooking your own breakfast or taking a walk to eat out when on vacation then this isn’t really an issue. But there are quite a few guests that think that a light continental option would be great.
