Located in the village of Ripley, the Half Moon Inn is an 18th-century gastro pub with guestrooms. It is five miles away from Woking, United Kingdom. All the eight rooms are provided with flat screen television, tea/coffee making equipment, and telephone for free local calls. Iron and ironing board are provided on request. All rooms have private bathrooms except for one that has an en suite bathroom. Wi-Fi and parking are complimentary. Pets are welcome. The entire hotel comes under the non-smoking area and is provided with central heating. The Half Moon Inn provides a good spread for all meals. Guests can enjoy the traditional Sunday roast, wines and beers. The Royal Horticultural Society Gardens is only one and a half miles away from the inn. It is a 12 minutes’ drive from Guildford.

Majority of the guests loved the Sunday roast served at the inn. The food served for the evening meal and breakfast were prepared well. Guests loved the roast beef and tender lamb. Sausages from the local butcher deserved a special mention as per some guests. Service was also very quick.
In spite of being on the main road, the rooms were quiet. They were clean and provided with all the basic amenities required for a comfortable stay. There is a space for parking behind the pub, which is adequate for many guests to park their cars.
As per many guests, the hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. They were attentive and very prompt in all their services. The inn is just off the M25 at junction 10 off the A3. Ripley has a good selection of antique shops and restaurants.
Few of the guests felt that the mattresses needed to be replaced as they could feel all the springs making it difficult for them to sleep comfortably.
The toilet flush did not work and bathroom had moldy growth around the shower in some rooms. The floor boards in the bathroom were loose and squeaky. Towels were not changed for more than four days.
The erratic Wi-Fi connection was very slow, mostly at the times when everyone else was also connected. The guests also had to sit in one corner to get a decent signal.
