A holiday apartment complex located in Menorca's San Jaime area, minutes from the beach, Son Bou Gardens is a family-friendly resort with several outdoor pools. All apartments are set up for self-catering, with kitchens which have kettles and microwaves. Each apartment also has a balcony and private bathroom. Son Bou Gardens features a large outdoor pool area and sun terrace. There's plenty to keep children entertained, with supervised activities and a games room. The complex has an onsite restaurant, and there's also a poolside bar. There's also a supermarket at the edge of the site, enabling guests to self-cater/ Son Bou Beach is located 900 metres from the apartment complex, while the restaurants and shops in the town centre are a 10-minute walk away.

There may be no frills and no fuss, but generally guests seem to think that these budget apartments offer good value for money, particularly for young families. The self-catering facilities mean dining can be convenient and cheap.
There's loads for the kids to do at Son Bou Gardens, so you won't have to worry about them getting bored. As well as the swimming pools, there's an indoor games room where they can have fun and make friends in a safe area.
Guests rate the location of these apartments - there's a choice of zones, with some closer to the town centre, and others in a quieter location. Plus, it's just a short walk to the beach, so there's no hassle about getting there.
While some apartments seem to be reasonably clean, some guests have complained that theirs has been grubby, or that things have fallen down or broken. The whole place needs some renovation, and cleaning could be more frequent.
It's great securing a holiday for a bargain price, but you don't expect to arrive and be hit with extra charges. If you have a small child, you'll need to factor in the extra cost for cots and highchairs. Guests also mention that beach loungers cost extra.
While the apartments are generally comfortable and adequate, they do lack some of the amenities you might expect, such as a TV or air-conditioning in the apartment. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't for you.
