Located in the heart of Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter, SKT. Petri is situated in a heritage-listed building from 1928 designed by legendary Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen. In 2003, the building was transformed into Copenhagen’s first design hotel and in 2016-17, SKT. Petri underwent an extensive makeover, now offering an urban retreat of laid-back luxury in one of the world’s most liveable cities. The hotel offers 288 rooms of which 26 are suites. Some of the rooms have balconies featuring breath-taking rooftop views to the surrounding, old historical buildings. All rooms and suites are equipped with air-conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar, and offer free WiFi as well as the hotel’s own-brand toiletries. The restaurant and bar is located right in the buzzing centre of the hotel lobby, serving creative culinary bites and signature drinks. The airport connected Nørreport Station are located within a few minutes’ walk. Bicycle rental, free entrance to our in-house fitness and experienced concierge services are offered.
Lots of reviewers said Skt. Petri was a winner for its food and drink whether its posh Scandinavian cuisine in laid back surroundings at the restaurant or beer and pizza in the bar. Breakfast also delighted many travelers who recommended the waffles, hot options or Danish favorites like fish, cheeses and pastries. If you fancy a lie-in at the weekends you can even take a late breakfast - a little touch many guests seemed to like.
A majority of guests were positive about the quality of the rooms which have the hallmarks of Danish style from crisp decor to functional features and furnishings. Many said standard rooms were spacious enough for their liking and cleaned to a good standard.
One of the hotel's best assets, according to plenty of reviewers, is its location in a lively part of town with easy access to all the main sights and packed with eateries and bars. Business guests largely approved of the location too. The bus to the pretty Tivoli Gardens takes ten minutes from a stop directly outside.
A few visitors described finding the hotel a bit noisy, especially at weekends, due to the popularity of its own bars and other venues nearby. Light sleepers may prefer rooms facing inwards to the atrium.
With its focus on form, function and design, for some guests Skt. Petri didn't represent good value for money. A few felt they had paid over the odds relative to other top accommodation in the city.
It could be down to a matter of taste, but a few visitors left reviews suggesting that in spite of the hotel's attention to style and design there have been a few inadequacies reported such as tired-looking towels and linen or aging furniture.
