The rooms are bright and modern and feature much needed air conditioning, in-room safes, minibars and satellite TV. Some rooms also have private balconies and panoramic views. The lovely pool terrace is the star attraction and has all the sun beds and seating you’ll need to enjoy the good life. Reception staff are can offer concierge and basic business services. The onsite spa offers both beauty and therapeutic treatments for those wanting to spoil themselves. The hotel’s buffet and a la carte restaurants serve an exciting blend of Cuban and Creole cuisines, while guests looking for a drink can head to the lobby bar or enjoy a cocktail poolside at the pool bar. The charming district of Old Havana is seven miles from Hotel Memories Miramar.

A surprising number of guests commented on the air conditioning, saying that the units in their room worked well, at least when the electricity was on, and that they offered them very welcome relief from the oppressive tropical heat outside.
The majority of guests were reasonably happy the with cleanliness of their rooms, with many reporting finding their rooms to be perfectly clean on arrival and generally kept clean and tidy during the course of their stay.
On the whole, guests were impressed with the pool terrace and the immediate surroundings. Going by the reviews it seems this area was guest's favourite part of the hotel and they spent a good deal of time enjoying the good life here.
While guests conceded that this likely had nothing to do with the hotel directly, they did report that there were often problems with the electricity and plumbing, with blackouts and exceptionally weak water pressure being experienced from time to time during their stay.
While taking into account the multi-decade embargo Cuba has endured, guests still felt that the rooms were a bit too dated and showed far too much wear and tear for a hotel of its class. They felt that both the furniture and décor in the rooms were in urgent need of a complete renovation.
It was hard to find any kind words written about the restaurants and bars onsite. Most guests found the food to be very poor and the service indifferent or even rude on occasion.
