Negative Reviews

Surrounding neighborhood is somewhat rundown.

Whilst many guests thoroughly enjoy their stay at Meliá Athens, some report that the neighborhood immediately surrounding the hotel is rundown, which can prove intimidating. Graffiti is prevalent and some visitors relate tales of pick-pockets prowling the street.

In-room Wi-Fi proves expensive.

Past guests have criticized the cost of in-room Wi-Fi, which is said to be on the steep side. Wi-Fi in the lobby is free, which in turn leads to a lot of bodies taking up space as they take advantage of internet access.

Traffic can cause lower floor rooms to be noisy.

Meliá Athens is located beside a busy junction. As such, guests have reported that noise levels on lower level rooms can make it hard to relax and sleep. That being said, guests staying above the fourth floor generally receive a quiet night.
