The hotel is opposite the Church and monastery of Santo Stefano, here probably stood the Palace of the ancient Roman praetors, later used by Saracens as a seat of Government and finally in the 16th century was used as a Monastery for Augustinian convent Barefoot, and the Church of Itriella, built entirely in Tuff in the 16th century with a hemispherical dome.
