Majority of the guests said that everyone right from front desk to housekeeping staff were very forthcoming with a cheerful smile on their face. They were appreciated for their ability to take prompt action. Kids enjoyed the pool.
The hotel is a good option for all the guests who love traveling along with their pets. Stay for pets is free. A bag is provided each time you want to take your dog for a stroll in an exclusive small grassy area. Guests seem to be happy with their pets next to them.
Breakfast layout was appreciated by guests. They could take plenty of coffee and Belgian waffles were a hit. Guests could visit a number of places easily because of its central location. The hotel is close to a Wal-Mart, New Orleans, Prejeans, Blue Dog café and many other places for shopping, eating and entertainment.
Rooms were reported to have a moldy odor with old creaky beds. Guests felt that the rooms smelled as some of the earlier occupants allowed their pets to answer nature's calls in the room itself instead of taking them out. Some bathroom floors were dirty and had broken toilets and cigarette butts in the sink. Some guests were horrified to see bed bugs and hair in towels, pillows and sheets.
There were many questionable people and activities like drinking seen in the small parking area after dark. Police cars were patrolling in the parking. Surrounding area seemed inappropriate for longer stays with families.
The hotel property including the parking area had a very run down and ill maintained look to it. Most of the guests voiced the same opinion that the hotel needed a makeover soon.
