Though the property is older, the interior has recently been renovated to suit the hotel brand, and the new, modern decor is generally considered a great improvement. The reasonably speedy free Wi-Fi is also much appreciated.

Though the hotel's immediate neighbourhood isn't the "prettiest," it is easily accessed from the highway and not too far from Reading city centre; guests report the walk into town takes 20-30 minutes, and a taxi trip home is quick and inexpensive. Though some guests are pleased with the free continental breakfast, the majority of diners seem to prefer a full cooked breakfast and consequently find the spread quite disappointing. Concerns have been raised about the freshness and quality of the items as well.
