The Giulia Hotel is an exquisitely designed modern hotel. While it is situated some distance form Naples, it is close to a railway station from where trains into the city can be boarded. The rooms are simple, but have that sense of Italian style, and feature air conditioning, minibars, flat screen TV’s with Sky channels, work desks and telephones. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and throughout the property. The main feature at Giulia is undoubtedly its massive Ocean Club complex. It houses pools, snack bar and spa area. At night the area is transformed into a nightclub. An ample breakfast buffet of sweet and savoury foods is available every morning. Reception staff will be happy to offer dining recommendations for other meals. The nearest railway station, for trains into Naples, is about 800 yards from Giulia’s. The very popular beaches at Varactura are about 5.8 miles away.

The hotel's self-styled Ocean Club seems to be far and away guest's favourite feature of the hotel. It is described as a large space dedicated to fun and relaxation, with more than enough space, and even sun beds, for all. Guests seemed to appreciate being able to take a refreshing dip after a long day on the road.
While there was strong negative sentiment in general, there were a minority of guests who insisted that the hotel offered excellent value for money. What they had in common seemed to be that they were merely using the hotel as a base to explore the surroundings as far as the Amalfi Coast by car.
Quite a few guests had their own cars, and greatly appreciated the secure parking offered by the hotel. They never seemed to struggle to find a spot.
This is by far the thing guests disliked most about the Giulia. Many did like the hotel itself, but could not look past the neighbourhood it was in, which was described as exceptionally run-down. Many did not even want to walk to the nearby train station.
Most guests said that the Giulia wasn't really a suitable hotel for people visiting Naples. It was very far from the city, the train service only ran limited hours, it was possibly dangerous to walk to the train station and taxi drivers in the area seemed to have the habit of ripping off their customers.
Several guests in the front facing rooms mentioned that the noise form the cars zooming along the highway out front disturbed their sleep a night. Light sleepers may want to request a rear facing room.
