Hotel Can Simo (Alcudia, Spain)

The streets surrounding the hotel are usually traffic-free, and the only sounds you’ll hear are the sounds of passersby. It’s a great location right next to a large number of restaurants and cafés. Perfect for a lazy holiday in a relaxed setting.

This hotel has only seven rooms so you’d expect there to be very little to do in the hotel itself. But the indoor pool, the sauna, and that lovely terrace give you the perfect excuse to spend the day in the hotel and forget about sightseeing for once.

At this hotel, you and the very few other guests are all treated like royalty. It’s a nice feeling to know that the staff know each guest by name and that they really care about how your holiday is going.

This isn’t really a problem in bigger hotels but as the terrace is part of the restaurant, if it is full of customers you will have nowhere to sit and chill out during the day. It’s not a major complaint, but one to be aware of when booking.

The hotel isn’t cheap and as such you expect a little more for your cash. But due to its size and the fact that the restaurant is a separate business, it’s a bit uncomfortable to sit and relax on the terrace.

The air-conditioning at the hotel takes a little getting used to. It will not work until the windows are shut which is fine but as it is not that powerful, you may spend more than a few minutes in stifling heat before it starts to cool down.
