Situated in a terrific spot less than 200 yards from the beach, Apartamentos Plaza De La Luz offers guests self catering apartments ideal for an independent beach break. The apartments are simply furnished, but thoroughly modern, and feature fully equipped kitchens, flat screen TV’s with digital channels, living and dining areas and hairdryers. Reception is open limited hours and can help with luggage storage, bike rental and local information. There is a lovely roof terrace with seating, ideal to relax and socialise in the sun. There is no on-site dining available, but those not self catering will find good options in the area. Reception staff will be happy to offer recommendations. The beach is barely 150 yards away, but the whole of Cadiz’s Old Town is well within walking distance. The railway station is a bit less than a mile from Plaza de la Luz.

Guests really seemed to enjoy the location of the apartments. While being close to the beach was important to them, they also liked that they were in a position to walk anywhere in the Old City. So all the cafes, bars and sights were easily accessible, and they never felt they needed to travel far experience all of Cadiz.
In contrast to their usual experience with hotel Wi-Fi, guests found that the system at Plaza de la Luz was both reliable and fast enough for their purposes. To many it was a very pleasant surprise.
While it doesn't seem that guests used them to the full, quite a few stated that the kitchens were very well equipped, and they would have been able to prepare reasonably complicated meals in them should they have wished to.
This was a surprisingly common complaint. It appears there may be a problem with the plumbing system in the building, resulting in the bathrooms either smelling like the pipes were backed up, or of the cleaning chemicals used to try to mask the scent.
Motorists tended to be quite unhappy with the rate charged for parking. It seems the problem is that there is very little parking available in the Old Town, since it was planned long before cars were invented, and as a result rates are pushed sky-high.
While this was not a common complaint, a few guests did mention that their room was particularly small. It appears that, like in many older buildings, rooms sold in the same class may vary quite a bit in size. Guests who like their space should look into trying to secure a larger apartment.
