The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with lovely beds that guarantee a good night’s rest. It is good value for money considering that many pub hotels offer tiny rooms with shared bathroom facilities but at this place you have your own bathroom.
Nice breakfast and meals.
The pub grub is real comfort food of the highest order, and you can’t fault it one bit. The breakfast is as filling as you would expect from a place that has a restaurant, and you won’t feel disappointed. It’s not fine dining, but it is good honest food.
Good location for the area.
If you have business in Birmingham but want to stay out of the city, then this is a great spot. It’s not too far but far enough for you to enjoy the local pub feeling. There are also quite a few sights in the surrounding area that are within easy driving
Nice hotel but poor service.
The hotel is lovely and set in a nice area, but the service provided by the staff is falling short of most customer’s expectations. The food is slow to come out, and the staff aren’t as friendly as you might expect.
Rooms not as good as expected.
The rooms aren’t terrible, but some guests have noted that they aren’t as good as they appear on the website. Maybe the photos are quite old but it doesn’t change the fact that the rooms feel a little dated.
Not good for those with mobility issues.
It’s not a big hotel so there will be problems for those in wheelchairs or the elderly. There are too many stairs, and the rooms are quite far from the front door.
