The dining room has recently been renovated with design expertise from one of Ireland's leading design companies. For the musically minded, there is an original twin keyboard Hammond organ just waiting to be played. A stay at the Rectory is a very special experience. Their guests enjoy luxurious spacious rooms, each with their own unique history, character and charm. Each room has majestic views over the gardens, and, indeed many of their regular visitors have decided to make the Rectory their own private country escape. Local areas of interest include Birr Castle and Gardens, The Glens Golf club, the spectacular Lough Boora wetland and famous monastery of Clonmacnoise, the scenic hiking trails in the Slieve Bloom mountains, the walkers’ trails along the Grand Canal.
