Positive Reviews

Excellent restaurant

There are numerous positive comments about both the food and service on offer at the hotel’s restaurant In addition to great food and service, you’ll also enjoy stunning views and may even be treated to some traditional music from a Scottish piper.

Handy extras

This hotel ticks all the right boxes in respect of unexpected amenities Guests appreciate being able to use a computer although also comment that the free Wi-Fi is reliable Other nice touches include fresh flowers and current issues of magazines in the lobby and hallways.

Hospitality as it should be

The attitude of staff can make or break a stay in any part of the world At this hotel, it definitely appears to make it You’ll find the staff are friendly and attentive They are happy to advise on the local area and deal with any issues swiftly and professionally.

Negative Reviews

Temperamental lift

Issues about the lift in this hotel crop up from time to time, so it seems that it breaks down on a fairly regular basis While this might not cause you too much concern, elderly and less physically able guests may struggle with the stairs.

Some noise

While by no means a regular complaint, some guests were disturbed by the sound of private functions going on until late It’s an easy enough fix though; just ask for a room away from the function rooms and bar and you should be fine Guests report very little noise from outside the property.

Parking can be tricky

This hotel offers no on-site parking and instead directs guests to nearby public parking As with all public services, it’s very much a case of first come, first served, so getting a space within a reasonable distance of the hotel is not guaranteed.
