Positive Reviews

Lovely clean spacious rooms.

The rooms at the Station Hotel left the majority of guests feeling very satisfied. Comfortable beds, immaculately clean as well as a feeling of spaciousness even in the smaller, single rooms added to an enjoyable stay.

Location could not be faulted.

You will certainly find plenty to do if you choose this hotel for your stay in Dudley. Many guests said they could not find better priced accommodation given the proximity to local attractions like the Black Country Living Museum, and the Castle and Zoological Gardens. The rumoured haunted room and local ghost walks are a hit with fans of the paranormal.

Exceptional quality food.

Guests can opt for either a continental or a full English breakfast with the latter receiving plenty of praise. Many reviewers commented it was worth returning for the well prepared food served in the restaurant, in particular the carvery.

Negative Reviews

Wi-Fi a let down.

Although Wi-Fi is provided free of charge to guests, it can be intermittent in some of the bedrooms which has been noted as a source of frustration. A few guests have been unable to pick up any signal at all although this does appear to be rare.

Hotel shabby and in need of updating.

The décor and appearance of the hotel was in general considered to be a real let down and has been described as worn, shabby and unappealing. Many guests who commented felt it would benefit from refurbishment.

Best for heavy sleepers.

The location on a busy main road means a lot of outside traffic noise. If you are a light sleeper it is best to bring earplugs or request a room on the upper floors where this is less of an issue.
