Positive Reviews

Beautiful view of Lapad Bay

If you’re a person who lives for a view, you’ll be more than happy here The hotel is built so that every apartment has its own private terrace with a gorgeous view of the Adriatic The upper floors seem to have better views than ground level accommodations.

Location is good

It’s a short walk or a bus ride to Old Town with its shops and restaurants It’s a great place for people watching, shopping and dining However, you’ll be happy to return to the tranquillity of the hotel afterwards.

Clean and well taken care of

The hotel is fairly new and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained Everything works well and the set up is convenient The staff is helpful, friendly and accommodating to requests.

Negative Reviews

Minimalist rooms may not be cosy

The rooms here are kept spotlessly clean, but décor in the rooms tends toward a sparse black and white design It may be serene Or it could seem too stark.

Grumpy landlord

A few guests had unpleasant encounters with the host While there were many comments about the friendliness of this family-run establishment, there were enough opposite comments to make you think the host might have some problems keeping his moods under control One person claimed the landlord got angry with him for attracting a cat, and then hit said cat with a mat Others felt subjected to rude behaviour or claimed they had been yelled at.

Use the Kompass hotel elevator

The walk to the restaurant and shopping area is a downhill walk, which means a steep hike back to the hotel after sightseeing However, there is an elevator in the nearby Kompass hotel, which several guests recommended, especially for the uphill journey.
