Positive Reviews

Location, location, location!

You can’t beat this location and the 46a bus from the city centre drops you off within an easy walk of the hotel. Perfect!

Cost of eating and alternatives

The hotel food is fine but why pay their prices when there’s a cheaper option nearby at Canal Bank! In the hotel, though, it’s really impressive when the chef rolls up to your table to take your order. That’s special, but, really, there are so many other choices to investigate as well.

Breakfast tip

Experience the real Dublin and totter along to the Canal Bank Café! There are great choices and all just a short walk from the hotel.

Negative Reviews

Parking has very limited appeal!

Parking is a joke and the overflow solution is an added and irritating cause for concern.

The colour is 'beige'

There’s nothing to really object to and nothing to write home about either. That's the big problem because all hotels desperately need to stand out from the crowd. Even the bad ones have a clear identity but, here, it’s all OK but very ‘samey’. It lacks the urgent wish to please and to encourage guests to return It needs 'ooomph'!

Indifferent staff

They are not rude but they lack a wish to make the guest’s stay ‘special’. They seem oblivious to the fact that there are hotels with better facilities and more conveniently situated, just down the road and nearer to the centre of things. Generally, a wakeup call is somewhat overdue.
