Positive Reviews

Great location in central Dublin

This hostel is centrally located and close to many of Dublin’s main attractions It’s a quick walk into town and you’ll find plenty of ways to pass the day with pubs and restaurants galore.

Inexpensive lodgings

This is one of the lowest priced accommodations in Dublin If you’re a backpack traveller on tight budget, this is hostel will suit your needs The bunks and mattresses are comfortable for budget standards.

Friendly staff

The staff is cited for their friendliness and helpful natures.

Nice for large groups

Large groups seemed to have especially positive experiences at Backpackers Citi hostel You can get great group rates and the ambience is conducive for larger parties.

Negative Reviews

A bit of a dive

This is probably not the cleanest establishment in Dublin There were quite a few comments about filthy bathrooms, floors caked with dirt and scummy showers It’s not recommended that you go barefoot here Take your flip flops.

Shared bathrooms a hassle

When one of the community bathrooms is out of order, and this seems to happen with some regularity, it can make for some long waits in the morning The doors don’t always work right.

Rooms on the grimy side and kitchen inadequate

These are not luxury rooms and some felt they were a bit dark and grimy with too much noise While it’s nice to have a self-serve kitchen, it seemed to be a but short on supplies, and like other parts of the hostel, there were a number of complaints about dirt.
