Positive Reviews

Conveniently Situated, Pleasant Venue

This is a nice, clean locale set back about five or ten minutes from Drogheda by taxi or car ride, fifteen minutes to the sea and around thirty-five miles to Dublin Airport. You'll get reasonable portions at mealtime in this friendly, family-owned property. The breakfast served in the gallery is hearty with a great selection and food in the bar is tasty. Favourites are the poached eggs and full Irish breakfast, bacon and chicken pie and slow-cooked beef. Events are beautifully-arranged with perfect decorations, outstanding entertainment and overall excellent planning.

Tidy, Basic Rooms

The rooms are pleasant and nicely-arranged. You'll have tea/coffee making provisions, large televisions, decent Wi-Fi, no frills amenities and plenty of towels.

Superb Staff

Helpful and friendly staff are the norm around here. Everything is kept in order by enthusiastic staff who will go out of their way for your comfort from arrival to departure. Brilliant!

Negative Reviews

Bathroom Blues

The bathrooms have only showers and/or shallow tubs, so those looking for a large bath to soak in are out of luck. Some plumbing issues are obvious, such as leaking and poor drainage. Some are in need of a good scrub and floors need mopped. Bring your slippers and shower shoes!

Cold Enclosures

Some rooms remained cold even when heat was on as high as could be adjusted, possibly due to draughty windows. Some seemed to be on a timer. Bring your warmest pajamas!

A Few Foibles

A refurb appears to be in order. Some of the lights don't work in the rooms and breakfast is not always ready at the earliest offered hour. Water damage is evident visually as well as by smell in some areas - which had ineffectively been covered with essential oil aromas. Mattresses are due for an upgrade as well.
