Positive Reviews

Pleasant surroundings

Guests like the rural surroundings. The hotel's base in a converted stable is certainly not what you might expect. Everything is on one floor so there are no problems moving about and you can park outside your room. Guests find the location convenient for visiting the city centre and the surroundings areas.

Good quality rooms

There doesn't seem to be any surprises where the rooms are concerned. The standard here probably won't amaze but there doesn't seem to be anything to worry about either. Guests find the rooms are clean, comfortable and of a reasonable size. The selection of amenities offers both comfort and convenience.

Enjoyable dining

The Mundy Arms attracts positive feedback in its own right. Guests find the food is of a good standard and the portion sizes large enough to ensure value for money is enjoyed. Guests also mention that the service is good and that the meal deal is a good buy.

Negative Reviews

Some noise

On the surface, the rural surroundings here promise a peaceful stay. However, it appears that in at least some of the rooms, that isn't always the case. Guests mention that there is some traffic noise from the road and car park, as well as the obvious noise of having a pub so close to your room.

No air-conditioning

While many guests are positive about the standard of the rooms, the lack of air-conditioning can prove problematic in the summer months. You will want to open your window but then you are subjected to an even greater level of noise from the pub. It's hardly a win win.

Wi-Fi may disappoint

Several guests found the free Wi-Fi was very poor. Those who chose to pay for the upgrade (often begrudgingly) found the premium service was not all that much better.
