Positive Reviews

A warm welcome and great service

You get a great welcome from the reception staff when you arrive, and the smiles don’t stop there They are also extremely helpful It’s a great hotel too with a perfect view of the cricket ground.

A bed fit for a king

The hotel itself is in a lovely location, and the staff are very friendly, but it was the bed that really sealed the deal for many guests Some have said that it was easily the most comfortable bed they’ve slept in apart from their own, of course.

The cleaning staff deserve a medal

How they can keep a hotel so spotlessly clean is a mystery No matter where you stay there’s always some part of the hotel that could do with a scrub, but not here The reception area, the rooms and even the car park are impeccable.

Negative Reviews

Nice place but needs a refurb

This hotel was probably great when first opened but now it needs a coat of paint in more than just a few spots It doesn’t look terrible but when you’re staying in a hotel you don’t expect to see stains or peeling paint.

Nightclub deprives you of sleep

It may not be as bad at the back of the hotel, but the noise from the nightclub at the front will undoubtedly keep you awake During midweek it’s not too bad but if you’re staying at the weekend get a room overlooking the cricket ground.

Mouldy bathroom

Bathrooms are understandably wet places, and mould is inevitable, but in a hotel you may find it disheartening Some of the showers were said to have a damp smell.
