Positive Reviews

Exceptional staff.

Except for the occasional staff member that got up on the wrong side of the bed, the majority of guests loved the staff working here. A warm greeting and a willingness to talk or share local information was appreciated by many, and weary travellers enjoyed the overall friendless that they found.

Facilities a nice surprise.

Guests said that they had plenty of room to move around and never felt cramped. This included guest rooms and common areas such as the TV lounge and the kitchen, and guests felt like this was one of the best things about Kinlay House Cork.

The price is right.

Guests thought that their stay provided good value for money. For the price, guests slept on a comfortable mattress and used a warm shower, in addition to getting reasonably efficient Wi-Fi. If you're looking for an affordable and straightforward place to sleep at night, this could do the job.

Negative Reviews

Bare bones breakfast.

While a few guests weren't expecting any breakfast, those that were looking forward to a meal in the morning were sometimes let down. A very basic spread of tea or coffee and toast was hardly worth it to some, but if you are a light eater, this might suit your needs.

Cleanliness concerns.

With a large number of guests coming and going, cleanliness sometimes suffered. In particular need of attention were bathrooms and corridors, which some guests found to be in unacceptable condition.

Noise a consideration.

Some guests said that in the future they would be willing to pay a bit more to avoid unnecessary noise. Doors banging and guests talking meant that sleep sometimes suffered, and if you value your rest, this is something to keep in mind.
